Our Commitment to Real Community Impact
Businesses don’t exist in a vacuum. We are real people within a real community and we honor that reciprocal relationship in a variety of ways: from regular volunteering, supporting local fundraisers and nonprofits, partnering with other local indie businesses, sponsoring education opportunities for pet owners, and of course, continuously expanding our own education, we strive to give back to our communities what they have put into us. As we grow, our commitments will continue evolve and develop so check back for updates!

Volunteer Commitment
Every third Sunday of the month, from 9 am - 2 pm, we’re volunteering with North Minneapolis Pet Resource Center providing free nail trims to our local community at their monthly reduced cost veterinary clinics. Afterwards, from 3 pm - 5:30 pm, we’re at Urban Tails Pet Supply for a 50% off cat only nail trim clinic.
Upcoming: In partnership with MyPitbullisFamily (a local, registered 501(c)(3) dedicated to accessible pet ownership), we are currently designing a lecture series on various grooming topics. Our first class was held on March 11th! Details below.

Events
At the 2025 Twin Cities Pride Festival, we showed up as allies and offered nail trims/grinds/polish, pet safe airbrushing, gems and feathers. We also were able to help our neighbors, The Upper Midwest Great Dane Rescue, advertise their adoptable dogs (pictured above).
We also participated in Twin Cities Pride’s Trunk-or-Treat event in Loring Park on October 26th, 2025 from 11 am - 2 pm, handing out goodie bags for both two and four legged kids, as well fun games and prizes.

Continuing Education
We attended the 2025 All American Groom Show in Schaumburg, IL to further our education and earn certifications in Pet First Aid & CPR, Feline Safe Handling, Geriatric Grooming, and Asian Fusion (a creative grooming course), alongside industry leaders and educators.
In 2026, we attended SuperZoo in Las Vegas and we plan to attend both Groom’d in Atlanta and Hershey in PA in 2027. Regular attendance at conferences help keep us up to date on best practices, certifications, competitions, and also allow use to share our knowledge with pet professionals across the nation.

Come see us for free nails trims at North Minneapolis Pet Resource Center’s Community Pet Clinic from 9 am - 2 pm on the third Sunday of every month. We’re at Urban Tails Pet Supply on the third Wednesday of every month for a cat only grooming clinic (proof of rabies required). Whether you need a quick spot shave, a brush out, a waterless bath, or a full lion cut, nail trims are free with every service!

Join us as we celebrate the Saint Paul Winter Carnival at Doggie Depot on Sunday, February 1st from 10 am - 3 pm at Union Depot in Saint Paul. Dogs welcome!
March 11th
Come learn Grooming Basics at our FREE seminar class from 6-7 pm on Wednesday night at North Minneapolis Pet Resource Center. We’ll cover everything you need to know to begin simple upkeep for your pup at home including a printed product list for tools, a hands-on nail trimming practicum, an overview of coat types and techniques specific to your dog’s needs, some simple training, handling, and desensitizing approaches to practice at home, and a dog anatomy print-out so you can start studying your dog’s structure and range of motion. We’ll even have live dogs to demo proper brushing and handling techniques!
May 2nd
Support the Animal Humane Society’s biggest and most important annual fundraiser with us at the 2026 Walk for Animals from 9 am - 1 pm on Saturday, May 2nd at the MN State Fairgrounds. Find out more info at animalhumanesociety.org/site/SPageNavigator/wfaeventinfo

Art-A-Whirl: Friday 5 pm - 10 pm, Saturday 12 pm - 8 pm, and Sunday 12pm - 5 pm, Logan Park. Come browse all the handmade pet related items made by your favorite stylists or bring your pups for one of our FREE activities: lick art or decorate your dog with pet-safe dye pens and gems!

Catch us at Twin Cities Pride on Saturday 10 am - 7 pm or Sunday 10 am - 6 pm; we’ll be doing FREE lick art and free pet-safe dye pens and gems again and selling some PRIDE exclusive merch!

2026 Run, Walk, Wag 5k @ Eagle Ridge Academy: Help us support the Carver Scott Humane Society at this family friendly event (leashed dogs welcome!). We’ll be doing Lick Art FREE for the pups, or snag a ‘Smash the Pawtriarchy’ tee or an ‘I Pee on Fascists’ bandana!
October 3rd
Hang out with us at LollaPAWlooza 2026 at Unleashed Hounds and Hops from 3-7 pm; we’ll be out in full force with handcrafted pet items and a couple creatively dyed poodles for photos!
October 25th
Twin Cities Pride Trunk-or-Treat: Loring Park 11 am - 2 pm. Our theme this year is Under the Sea! Stop by for FREE games, goodies, and our big poodle costume reveal!
